Joanne Mumbey

Joanne Mumbey is a Certified Cicerone®, newly minted Certified Pommelier™, and founder of BeyLoved Pairings LLC. She was selected as one of Wine Enthusiast’s Future Forty Tastemakers of 2025 and currently bartends at Green Bench Brewing Co., where she’s immersed in the world of beer, cider, wine and mead every day.

Originally from Uganda, Joanne’s global upbringing exposed her to diverse international cuisines through her parents’ work, sparking a lifelong curiosity for flavors from around the world. This passion led her to Johnson & Wales University’s Culinary School, where she fell in love with craft beer and began exploring the world of beverage pairings. Noticing that most pairing conversations centered primarily on European cuisine, she sought to broaden the narrative. Through BeyLoved Pairings, Joanne creates immersive food-and-beverage experiences that celebrate cultures, stories, and flavors often overlooked in traditional pairing spaces.
