"Katie's love of cider stemmed from her love of education. She has worked in education for 20 years, teaching math and then supporting first-year teachers. She discovered the world of cider during a trip to London for continuing education and has continued to expand that knowledge everywhere she goes. Every time she travels, she makes it a point to try the local cider, so she was delighted to discover cider that lived up to her world travels right at home in Wichita, KS.
Katie dived right in with White Crow Cider Company, where she is now the taproom manager, event coordinator, and co-owner. Whether organizing tastings, themed events, or celebrations, Katie loves using cider to connect people. She is passionate about cider and ensuring it is accessible to everyone. Working at White Crow has allowed her to learn the ins and outs of cider making, and she continues to be amazed at the amount of detail that goes into ensuring quality in every product, from conception through production."
