Ploughman Cider is looking for an experienced and creative, taproom manager. This person will be responsible for overseeing employees and taproom operations. Being a strong leader who can efficiently manage other employees, is organized, an effective communicator and is detail oriented are essential qualities for a successful candidate.
Role and Responsibilities
Control the day-to-day operations within the policies and guidelines of the PLCB
Develop deep knowledge of product to improve customer service.
Control Profit & Loss by following cash control/security procedures, maintaining inventory, managing labor, reviewing financial reports and taking appropriate actions to include maintaining appropriate stock of liquor, beer and other bar products.
Ensure the daily deposits have been deposited, safe counts conducted and venue’s cash is secured at all times.
Maintain cost of goods sold, nightly comps, nightly recap reports and safe audits by overseeing inventory counts.
Exceptional customer service and ability to handle customer concerns quickly and efficiently.
Complete financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies.
Recruit, interview and hire team members; train, supervise and motivate; take disciplinary action and terminate team members when necessary.
Ensure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
Ensure staff has proper certifications and stay in compliance ie. RAMP and ServeSafe
Staying in compliance with local and state officials…ex. health department and liquor control board.
Coordinate deliveries cidery and taproom.
Oversee proper food costing for food menu.
Oversee the marketing for the tap room.
Creating/updating beer and food menu.
Ensure and document weekly line cleaningQualifications
3 years in a supervisory role, beverage experience preferred
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to lift 50lbs unassisted and 160lbs with help.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
Good people management skills, communication and listening skills.
Understand and ensure compliance of all state rules/regulations.
Proven ability to lead a team and communicate efficiently, both verbally and in writing.
Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
Must be internally motivated and detail oriented and have a passion for teaching others.
RAMP and ServeSafe certified
Ability to walk and be on feet for 10 hour days.Job Type: Full-time
