Alicia Pelkey

Alicia Pelkey is the head cidermaker at Red Apple Farm in Phillipston, Massachusetts, but as a New Hampshire resident is proud to be the first Certified Pommelier in New Hampshire.

Alicia started working for a berry farm, garden center and orchard in high school. She continued working during vacations and summers while attending college, majoring in photography and minoring in illustration. Her love of the outdoors and growing organic fruits, flowers and all other plants brought her back to the farm where through networking she developed an interest in brewing.

After hiking the Appalachian Trail and sampling many beers and ciders along the way, Alicia began her career as a brewer, working her way up to the lead brewer position over the course of 8 years at microbreweries in New Hampshire and Maine. When an opportunity arose to return to her roots in New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts as a cidermaker she was excited to try something new in a field she had been gaining interest in over the years at a local farm with over 100 years of orcharding history.
